Chris Morris

Chair, Program Excellence Committee

Chris Morris is an international consultant with more than 35 years of experience across a wide range of project cycle development activities in over 20 countries. He spent his early career as a water resources engineer working closely with communities in Africa and across Asia and the Pacific. Chris worked at the Asian Development Bank (ADB) from 2009-2022, he led the Bank’s NGO and Civil Society Centre where he established and managed relationships with many large international CSOs including Special Olympics (SO). He initiated ADB’s work with young people through ADB’s flagship Youth for Asia (YfA) initiative.

He initiated managed formal partnerships, with a focus on Meaningful Youth Engagement and SDGs, with AIESEC International, the world’s largest youth-led organisation, and child/youth International NGO Plan International. He led policy work with regional and global partners including Commonwealth Secretariate, Global Water Partnership Islamic Development Bank, IFAD, UNICEF and Generation Unlimited, UNDP, and the Asia Pacific Water Forum.
